Degrees and Education

My qualifications are:

Clinical Practice

I have over 14 years of experience working in NHS psychological services, and I specialise in working with children and adolescents aged up to 18 years, their families/ carers and/ or their nurseries or schools. I have supported typically developing children and young people, as well as those who have additional difficulties such as learning disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I have extensive experience of assessing and providing individually tailored treatments for children and young people who have experienced a wide range of difficulties, including, but not limited to, anxiety, low mood, OCD, phobias, panic, stress, trichotillomania (hair pulling), interpersonal/ relationship difficulties, and behavioural problems. I draw upon a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work including systemic approaches and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

In addition to assessment and therapy, I carry out school observations, these contributing to a more thorough assessment, and supporting my colleagues’ diagnostic assessments.

I am a fully trained Mindfulness Teacher and I run introductory workshops and eight week mindfulness courses on a regular basis.
