Over the last 10 years I have been helping individuals, couples and families to flourish and thrive. This includes children, adolescents and adults. I have also been able to provide support and consultation to fellow colleagues and other professionals.
My clinical experience involves work within both the charitable sector and the NHS including complex and acute inpatient settings while supporting teams and people on their journey of resilience and recovery. All of which has enabled me to provide comprehensive assessment and individually tailored therapeutic interventions for any difficulties and life transitions one may experience. These might include a number of personal challenges or lifestyle changes, difficulties with mood, upsetting thoughts or feelings, relational problems or distressing life events.
My Therapeutic Approach
Whilst mental and emotional difficulties are often described as ‘conditions’ or ‘disorders’, I believe in more personalised approach to support by developing an in-depth and holistic understanding of one’s life and circumstances at the time.
My way of working is personal and unique to each individual and their life story although I use a wide range of therapeutic models and specialist knowledge. These might include new therapeutic developments and already established evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based and Emotion-focused interventions. In this way your wishes and individual needs will help us develop a shared understanding of how to move forward and what approach would be most effective.
