My Clinical Practice
I have worked for over 10 years with individuals and couples, 6 of those are with clients experiencing concerns with intimacy and sexual difficulties.
My experience includes but is not limited to working with clients who experience hypospadias, vulval pain, spinal injury, low libido, anorgasmia, cancer, erectile issues
Alongside private practice I have worked in various Relationships Scotland member services and other Edinburgh agencies providing relationship and psychosexual therapy and as a clinical supervisor. I regularly facilitate group work on relationships and intimacy for Breast Cancer Now.
My Therapeutic Approach
I appreciate it is not always easy to talk about sex, what is happening or not happening for you and what kind of sex you would like to be having, I work hard to ease any discomfort or embarrassment by providing a safe space to share intimate thoughts and feelings and normalise all terminology and vocabulary.
I use an integrative approach of relationship, psychodynamic, systemic and adult sexuality theories to understand what is causing the difficulties.
Regardless of your sexuality, gender identity or relationship status I am here to support you, working together to understand, adapt to or overcome your difficulties.
