We offer expert dietetic assessment and intervention for a range of difficulties across the lifespan. Firstly, our dietitian will meet with you or your child to get to know you and the difficulties that you are encountering. Once our dietitian has completed a thorough assessment a collaborative plan will be developed which is specifically tailored to your needs. Our dietetic service prioritises a holistic approach to both physical and mental health, as well as a collaborative approach to support you to achieve your goals.

Our Expertise

Our dietetic service is appropriate for children, young people, adults and older adults. We have expertise across a wide range of areas, including:

  • Diabetes management
  • Digestive issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Eating difficulties associated with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism, including AFRID
  • Food intolerance and allergy management
  • Gastrointestinal issues
  • Mild to moderate eating disorders or disordered eating
  • Sports and fitness nutrition
  • Weight management

Often clients at the practice with dietetic and eating difficulties can benefit from a multi-disciplinary approach. Clients coming to The Edinburgh Practice can benefit from a team approach with our dietitian, who works in collaboration with our psychology, speech and language and psychiatry team.
