Training for Youth Engagement Officers from Leith Community Policing

We were delighted to welcome Youth Engagement Officers from Leith Community Policing for some training with Dr Dykes and Dr Campbell this week at the practice.

Dr Dykes & Dr Campbell covered key topics, including childhood core psychological needs, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), childhood trauma, brain development, understanding behaviours, and the window of tolerance, as well as strategies for officers to look after their own wellbeing.

It was a fantastic event, fostering valuable discussions and equipping officers with essential knowledge to support young people effectively.
