My Clinical Practice

Dr Beadel is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.  He completed his speciality training in Scotland and holds Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.  He is on the specialist register with the General Medical Council, where he also holds recognition of trainer status.  He completed his medical training at King’s College London, inclusive of an intercalated degree in Medical Ethics and Law.  Prior to becoming a psychiatrist he worked as an emergency medicine doctor in Australia, and taught anatomy and clinical skills at the University of St Andrews School of Medicine.

I prioritise creating a friendly, positive, and reassuring environment where young people feel safe and understood.  I believe in a collaborative approach, ensuring that a young person’s unique needs and preferences guide our treatment journey.  My goal is to empower my clients and their families, fostering resilience and wellbeing through compassionate, individualised care.  I aim to provide clear answers and helpful treatment to complex and emotionally-charged challenges.
