My Clinical Practice

Dr Dickson first qualified as a General Practitioner before changing to Psychiatry during three years when working in New Zealand. He has been practicing as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist since 2005 assessing and treating adults as inpatients and in the community. During that time he has varied roles as an education supervisor, consultant appraiser, second opinion doctor for the Mental Welfare Commission and the delivery of psychological treatments. He treats and assesses ADHD in addition to mood disorders and personality difficulties within his current role as a community adult Consultant Psychiatrist.
