Clinical Practice

I am a clinical psychologist with a broad range of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families within a variety of settings.

Alongside working in private practice, I am currently employed as a Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist within the National Health Service (NHS). I work with children, adolescents and families in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), assessing and treating a wide range of mental health difficulties and in the Paediatric Psychology Service (PPS), assessing and treating a range of difficulties in children and adolescents who experience physical health conditions.

I am experienced in assessing and treating difficulties including, but not limited to anxiety, phobia, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, anger, depression, self-harm, self-esteem issues, adjustment difficulties, trauma, eating disorders, behavioural difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning disability.

My Therapeutic Approach

In my clinical practice, I use a range of evidence-based therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness-based and Systemic-based approaches and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

In addition to providing an evidence-based approach building a collaborative, therapeutic relationship, developing a shared understanding of difficulties and focusing on what is most important for each individual client allows me to maximise benefits and work in the most effective way.
