As well as working in private practice, I am also employed by the NHS as an Advanced Dietetic Practitioner working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). I work with a wide range of conditions including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Other Specified Eating Disorders (OSFED), Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). My role involves close working with children, adolescents and their families as well as service development and providing training and supervision for other health care professionals.
In addition to my expertise in eating disorders, I also have extensive experience in supporting and providing nutritional advice for, but not limited to: Selective eaters, food phobias, sports nutrition, RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport), women’s health, weight management, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), under nutrition /faltering growth and nutritional deficiencies.
I am passionate about Sports Nutrition and have supported athletes to improve performance by tailoring their dietary needs through training and competitions. In addition, I have a keen interest in Women’s Health, particularly in supporting women through menopause.
My Therapeutic Approach
My focus is on providing the latest evidence based nutritional advice to support diet and lifestyle changes. I understand the challenges involved in making long term changes so advice is always practical, supportive and tailored to the individual. I strive to make sessions relaxed and enjoyable and I always work collaboratively with families and other health professionals to provide a holistic approach to health.
