My Clinical Practice
I believe that a safe, non-judgemental, trusting and collaborative relationship should form the foundation of any therapy and assessment. I am committed to delivering inclusive and affirming practice that supports the needs of diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community.
My experience includes offering evidence-based psychological therapies to children, young people and adults experiencing a range of challenges including but not limited to anxiety, OCD, phobias, PTSD, low mood, self-harm, trauma, stress, emotional dysregulation, developing coping skills, navigating identity, helping you learn more about yourself and understand behavioural and relational patterns that are interfering with your mental health and wellbeing.
My Therapeutic Approach
I provide an effective and individualised approach to treatment, working together with you to understand your needs and goals. To do this I use an integrative approach and draw from a combination of psychological therapies. These are mainly: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and Schema therapy.
I have extensive experience offering neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people that focus on the entire person and their strengths and needs, to ensure they are understood and supported in ways that value neurodiversity and individual differences. I provide assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism and ADHD as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that follows best-practice guidelines. I make sure to adopt a neuro-affirming approach in my work with children, and young people with Autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
I also work within a NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team.
