My Clinical Practice
I believe that a safe, non-judgemental, trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship should form the foundation of any treatment.
In my clinical practice I offer evidence-based psychological therapies to children, young people and adults experiencing a range of challenges including but not limited to anxiety, OCD, phobias, PTSD, low mood, self-harm, trauma, stress, emotional dysregulation, developing coping skills, navigating identity, helping you learn more about yourself and understand behavioural and relational patterns that are interfering with your mental health and wellbeing.
I am committed to delivering inclusive and affirming practice that supports the needs of diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community.
My Therapeutic Approach
I provide an effective and individualised approach to treatment, working together with you to understand your needs and goals. To do this I use an integrative approach and draw from a combination of psychological therapies. These are mainly: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Moment Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and Schema therapy.
I have extensive experience offering neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people that focus on the entire person and their strengths and differences to inform how they can be best supported to reach their potential. I provide assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism and ADHD as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
I make sure to adopt a neuro-affirming approach in my work with children, and young people with Autism, and ADHD.
I also work within a NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team.
