Clinical Practice

I am a clinical psychologist with a broad range of experience working with children, young people, adults, and families within a variety of settings.

Alongside working in private practice, I am currently employed as a Highly Specialised Clinical Psychologist within the National Health Service (NHS). I work with children, young people and families in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Intensive Therapy Service (ITS) and have previous experience working in Paediatric Psychology services.

I am experienced in assessing and treating difficulties including, but not limited to anxiety, phobia, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), stress, anger, depression, self-harm, self-esteem issues, adjustment difficulties, trauma, eating disorders and behavioural difficulties.

I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent people and take a neuro-affirming approach with is strengths and rights based and tailored to the individual.

My Therapeutic Approach

In my clinical practice, I use a range of evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Mindfulness-based and Systemic-based approaches.

In addition to providing an evidence-based approach, building a collaborative, therapeutic relationship, developing a shared understanding of difficulties and focusing on what is most important for each individual client allows me to maximise benefits and work in the most effective way.
