My Clinical Practice

I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) since 2015. During this time, I have completed neurodevelopmental assessments and delivered interventions for young people with a range of presentations, including autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). I have also specialised in paediatric neuropsychology, including completion of an MSc in Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychology. I have extensive experience providing specialist neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental assessments for children with neurological conditions, including extreme prematurity, acquired brain injury, and epilepsy. Over the past four years, I have worked as the Lead Clinical Psychologist within Paediatric Neurodevelopmental and Paediatric Neuropsychology Services. In these roles, I have contributed to service development, including the design of assessment pathways and post-diagnostic support.

My Therapeutic Approach

In my clinical practice, I prioritise developing a thorough understanding of each individual’s profile in order to identify supports and interventions to allow them to thrive. When assessing young people, I ensure assessments are completed to a high standard and are aligned with up-to-date evidence base and best-practice guidance. I work flexibly so that assessments are tailored to the individual and capture their unique story, strengths, and needs.

In therapeutic work, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I work creatively to ensure evidence-based interventions are accessible to all young people, particularly neurodivergent young people and those living with neurological conditions.
