My Clinical Practice
Dr Robertson is dedicated to working with and advocating for older people. She particularly enjoys working with patients and their families in a clinical setting and she has been practicing as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults in both community and inpatient settings since 2007. Over this time, she has gained extensive experience in memory clinics and in the outpatient assessment and management of mental health problems in older people. Dr Robertson has recently become a Designated Medical Practitioner for the Mental Welfare Commission.
In addition to her clinical work, she is an NHS Associate Medical Director, a recognised postgraduate trainer in Psychiatry and an NHS Consultant appraiser. She is currently Vice-Chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland Old Age Faculty Executive Group. She is an expert adviser for the Scottish Public Service Ombudsman and she also provides expert reports for the NHS Scotland Central Legal Office.
